Band is offered as both an elective and after school program. Rehearsals include advanced and intermediate levels. Class studies include performance musicianship, music theory, music history and ensemble technique. Students are expected to attend after school rehearsals on Tuesdays from 3:00 - 5:00pm.
Cardinal Chorus is an elective course which meets daily. Students perform for all chapel liturgies and activities as well as outside secular performances. In addition, students are expected to attend after school rehearsals given their performance commitments. Studies include musicianship, music theory, music history and ensemble technique.
Chapel Choir is an after school program which meets when necessary on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:30pm and concentrates on service for school liturgies and functions. Students perform vocally and instrumentally. In addition, Students participate in the annual Christmas concert with the Cardinal Choristers.
CR STEADY, a Contemporary Christian Rock Band, meets every Monday (CLUB).
Drum Line is an after school group which meets Thursdays from 3:00 - 5:00pm. Meetings are mandatory. Students must participate in the Band program audition for this group. Students are expected to attend extra rehearsals to meet performance commitments which are many and in various venues.
Music Theater Productions are open to all Bishop Snyder students. Students may sign-up and audition for a variety of opportunities. These opportunities include: acting, singing and dancing, costumes, props, and set design. Students are expected to attend rehearsals on a regular basis. (Note: the production culminates one to two weeks prior to final exams).
Theater Tech meets after school on Mondays and is responsible for all productions, events, concerts and shows which occur at Bishop Snyder High School. Students must be committed and reliable. Opportunities include: lighting, sound, stage management, and stage tech.
