Endowment and Named Funds

The Rachel Quiñones Memorial Endowed Scholarship
An endowment established in 2019 to honor Rachel Quiñones, teacher & Snyder Valedictorian of the class of 2009, who passed away in 2018 after a long battle with cancer. The scholarship is awarded annually to a current Snyder student who demonstrates a passion for Fine Arts,  participates in extracurricular Fine Art activities, and makes the Snyder campus community better by bringing Christ's light to peers and adults.

The Joos Family Endowment Fund
An endowment established by Mr. and Mrs. William J. Joos in 2005 to honor the memory of Genevieve and Louis Joos. This planned gift benefits the academic programs at Bishop John J. Snyder High School. The Joos fund ensures permanent funding to offer the latest in teaching tools for our faculty and students. Outside contributions to this fund are welcome and will be used solely for academic and scholarship purposes.

The Vallencourt Endowed Scholarship
In 2006 the Vallencourt family of Orange Park honored their parents, F.E. and Barbara Vallencourt, by establishing an endowed scholarship. In 2020, the family made an additional donation so that each spring four rising senior students who exemplify the work ethic valued by this family are recognized. 

The McGee Family Endowed Scholarship
Former parents, Dr. Terry and Mrs. Erin McGee, established their endowed scholarship in 2018 which assists students from St. Paul’s Riverside who choose Snyder. Outside contributions to this fund are welcome.

Mike & Caroline Corrigan/Nu-Trend Plastics Endowed Scholarship
The Mike & Caroline Corrigan/Nu-Trend Plastics Scholarship is designated each spring for two rising 8th graders, one from St. Matthew’s Catholic School and one from St. Paul’s Catholic School who has chosen to attend Bishop Snyder High School. This generous gift comes to us through the generosity of Nu-Trend Plastics and of Mr. Michael Corrigan, Sr and his late wife, Caroline Corrigan, along with their children Mr. and Mrs. John (Shawn) Asmuth, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Kelly) Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Edna) Corrigan, Jr, Deacon and Mrs. David (Carol) Yazdiya, and Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne (Casey) Rogers.

The Bishop John J. Snyder High School Endowment Fund
This fund was opened in 2005 to support the general needs of the school. The earnings from your
gifts will not be restricted to a particular purpose. Instead, the school principal can use their
discretion and allocate this income stream to support the greatest needs of the school.
