Supporting Catholic Education
St. Ignatius of Loyola Scholarship
Created by a donor who wishes to remain anonymous; this fund specifically benefits a student who attended Assumption Catholic School and has chosen to attend Bishop Snyder High School.
Patricia A. Tierney Scholarship
Mrs. Tierney served as the Superintendent of the Diocese of St. Augustine for 29 years before retiring. During her many years of service, she was actively involved in the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) which is a course of study through Notre Dame University. Upon her retirement the ACE community bestowed a scholarship in her name. Each year a young woman from a Guardian School in Jacksonville will receive a $1,000 to attend Bishop Snyder or Bishop Kenny High School.
Jan and Lou Walsh Family Foundation – Catholic School Teachers’ Children Scholarship
This scholarship is open to families who have a parent employed by the Diocese of St. Augustine as a Catholic school teacher.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship
In honor of Mother Seton’s deep love for the Holy Eucharist, this $500 scholarship is awarded to a freshman who shares her devotion. The scholarship is applied toward tuition for the student’s sophomore year at Bishop John J. Snyder High School. We are deeply grateful to our generous anonymous donor for making this scholarship possible.
