We’re so proud of everything you’ve already accomplished, and we can’t wait to cheer you across the stage in 2027. Use this page as your hub for announcements, deadlines, celebrations, and memories. Dates and details will be updated throughout the year to give you the latest information.

Important Events & Dates

Prom: March 13

Senior Check Out: May 25

Seniors will receive their graduation packets which include their student files, caps and gowns, and graduation tickets between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25th. Graduation items will be distributed via a drive-through car line in the circle by the Main Office. Seniors must remain in their cars and will be given their items.

Before checking out, seniors must have met all school financial obligations, submitted Christian service hours to Campus Ministry, and returned school property, including athletic uniforms, locks, library books, Chromebooks, band items, Foundations’ materials, and any other school items. Items not picked up during Senior Checkout will be available in the Main Office for pickup. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Baccalaureate Mass: May 25

On Tuesday, May 25, we will celebrate our Baccalaureate Mass at Assumption Catholic Church (2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL) at 7:00 p.m. Seniors must arrive at St. Matthew’s Parish Hall no later than 6:15 p.m. Graduation gowns are required to be worn during the Mass; caps are not permitted.

Dress for the evening is Sunday best. Gentlemen should wear a button-down dress shirt, slacks, and a tie (coat optional). Ladies may wear dresses, skirts, or dress pants with an appropriate blouse; hemlines should not be visible beneath graduation gowns. Jeans, skin-tight apparel, flip-flops, and sneakers are not permitted, and appropriate dress shoes must be worn. All students are required to attend the Baccalaureate Mass in accordance with the school handbook. Appearance standards will be enforced: hair must be natural in color, and gentlemen should be clean-shaven with appropriate haircuts. This event is free and open to all graduates and their guests.

Senior Awards Ceremony: May 26

Invitations for the Senior Awards Ceremony will be sent out in Mid-April.

General Info:

On Wednesday, May 26th, we will host our Senior Awards Ceremony. Awards for academics, athletics, and campus ministry will be distributed during this ceremony. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Snyder Auditorium. Dress for this evening is a dress shirt, a pair of slacks, and a tie (coat optional) for boys and dresses or skirts and blouses, or dress slacks for girls. No low necklines, exposed midriffs, or short hemlines. Remember you will be walking across a raised stage! All students must attend in compliance with school appearance standards, including hair and facial hair.

Senior Exams & Exemptions Info: May 17-20

Graduation Practice & GRADUATION: May 27

GRADUATION PRACTICE

A mandatory graduation practice will be held the morning of graduation (May 27th) from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Thrasher-Horne Center.

*All students must attend Graduation Practice in compliance with school appearance standards, including hair and facial hair.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

On Thursday, May 27th, we will hold our Commencement Ceremony at the Thrasher-Horne Center on the campus of St. Johns River State College (283 College Drive, Orange Park) starting at 7:00 p.m. Graduates must meet on the second floor of the lobby at the Thrasher-Horne Center no later than 6:30 p.m. Attendance at the graduation is by ticket only and all families will be given 14 tickets. Doors open at the Thrasher-Horne Center at 6:30 p.m.

Graduates must wear their caps and gowns during the ceremony. Caps may NOT be decorated. ONLY awards received during the Baccalaureate Mass and Senior Awards Ceremony may be worn during the Graduation ceremony. Appropriate attire underneath the gown is a pair of dress slacks, dress shirt and a tie for boys and dresses or skirts and blouses for girls. No low necklines, exposed midriffs or short hemlines are allowed. Hems must not protrude from beneath the graduation gown. Appropriate dress shoes must be worn (no flip flops or sneakers).

Guests of graduates are asked to please respect the dignity of this occasion by dressing and acting appropriately. Please do not bring air horns or other noisemakers that might detract from the solemnity of the event. Confetti is strictly prohibited. Flash photography will be restricted.

Class of 2026 Senior Plan Form: TBA

Senior Plan Forms are due by DATE TBA.

Complete the item(s) below concerning your future plans. This information will be incorporated into your academic records and will determine where your final transcript is to be sent.

Please complete this no later than DATE. This form is also your final transcript request so counselors can release your transcript to the college or university of your choice.

Be sure to provide copies of ANY college acceptances and scholarship awards you have not yet shared with School Counseling. You may email these to Ms. Friederich at nicolefriederich@bishopsnyder.org, or turn your letters and awards in as you get them.

Chromebook Return: TBA

Attention Seniors! If you are exempt from Finals, you will be able to return your Chromebook after Senior Mass on Friday, May 15th in the Media Center. Otherwise, Seniors may return their Chromebooks directly to Mr. McWhorter in the Media Center after their last exam. Senior exams run from May 18–21, 2025. When you return your Chromebook you MUST include the Chromebook, the charger and the case. Failure to return your Chromebook and the accessories will result in your cap and gown and graduation tickets withheld until it is returned.

Senior Plan Form, Bright Futures, & FAFSA Information

All Seniors must fill out a Senior Plan Form by DATE TBA. This form is also your final transcript request, so counselors can release your transcript to the college or university of your choice.

Colleges will have their own deadlines for financial aid, such as FAFSA. Bright Futures and FAFSA are separate applications and should BOTH be completed regardless of award qualification/status.
